This 1/2-size entry-level double bass is the perfect choice for younger students and smaller adult musicians (normally 14 years and older, depending on their length). It was hand selected by our resident luthier at the actual factory, which builds it exclusively for Bekker Music. It is a level above the usual entry-level instruments and features a plywood construction that provides a rich, complex sound ideal for learning, practice, and performance. The fingerboard is blackened rosewood with a proper scoop to prevent buzzes. Whether for lessons or a school instrument, this double bass delivers an excellent instrument for the talented bassist who is serious about music.
